Originally built in 1989 as a conservatory tearoom and shop for the specialist herb plant nursery at Old Semeil. The Garden House has been tastefully furnished to provide self catering accommodation with a sheltered patio overlooking the established herb garden with its wonderful scents and wealth of insect life and birds.
Situated adjacent to woodlands on one side and open fields with views to the other, the Garden House and patio trap the sun in summer. Local Spar shop and post office only 3 miles away.

Strathdon is situated 1000 feet up in the foothills of the Cairngorm Mountains within the Caimgorms National Park. Visitors can enjoy National Trust Properties, gardens, local fishing, walking and wildlife. The Whisky Trail, Castle Trail and The Coastal Trail all within a day out. Aberdeen is a 45 mile drive.
The Garden House offers 1 double, 1 full size bunks, 1 double futon, shower room, separate WC, large living area, kitchen.
Visitors enjoy seclusion and peace and quiet ,The Garden House is a great base from which to explore Aberdeenshire, Royal Deeside and Balmoral and only an hours drive from the Moray Firth where dolphins are often seen. Long and short walks in the woods and moors are easily accessible.Fishing on lochs and river Don locally.Clear skies make star gazing rewarding. |
