On the banks of the River Eden, beautifully sited with views of open countryside yet within walking distance of Kirkby Stephen, Low Mill is a country-cottage without needing the car for shopping or eating out.
Low Mill has been recently refurbished but still with exposed beams to hint at the history of the house. The modern bathroom has a shower over the bath. There is a fitted fully-equipped kitchen with separate dining area and a large lounge with wood-burning stove. Central heating is provided and the house is comfortably furnished and cleanly redecorated throughout.
Kirkby Stephen is a pretty market town with many shops and cafes / restauarants / pubs. The town is close to Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Howgill Fells and North Pennines and Kirkby Stephen station is on the famous Settle - Carlisle railway line.
At Low Mill there is off-street parking, a secure south-facing deck overlooking the river, plus garden and patio. Your pets are welcome and for dog-owners the beautiful walks start pretty much at the front door.
There are two bedrooms (one double with a king-size bed, one family with one double and one single bed). New for 2011 one of the bedrooms has an en-suite with shower.
The fittings in the large kitchen/dining room include a dishwasher and washing machine.
