Where the owner of the beach shop, now hires out specially built off-road wheelchairs, designed with big fat tyres to enable them to be pushed along the sands, thus elderly, infirm, or the less fit & agile, can enjoy the 3 miles of golden sands and dunes, of one of the UK’s finest family beaches – instead of having to stay back at the holiday base!
Braunton is an easy level walk or cycle ride, to the village centre, with its visitor information centre/museum, and all its eateries, Inns, surf and general shops, banks, health centre,police station, & a major supermarket on the village edge.
BRAUNTON, claimed to be the largest village in England; an ideal location for exploring North Devon, the acient town of BARNSTAPLE for shopping & the Theatre. Exmoor National Park, the North Devon towns of ILFRACOMBE & it's harbour, LYNTON & LYNMOUTH and the beautiful Lynn Gorge. BIDEFORD & The famous 'Tarka Trail' alongside the Taw/Torridge Estuary. Where this safe & level off road cycling & walking trail starts.
