Set in the picturesque village of Dufton in the Eden Valley, Midtown Barn is a conversion of a listed barn. All the accommodation is bright and spacious and very well equipped. The barn enjoys lovely views over the Pennine hills from the stunning first floor vaulted and beamed lounge. The location is perfect for a relaxing break or for visiting the many attractions of the area. Gentle walks or cycling are available from the doorstep, as well as more strenuous hikes in The Pennines, The Lakes or The Yorkshire Dales. Our local village pub is just a few minutes walk and serves good food too.
The barn offers 1 double Bedroom on the ground floor, with ensuite shower/toilet, then upstairs there are 2 good sized single bedrooms with adjoining door and a bathroom with bath and toilet. The large farmhouse kitchen and dining area are on the ground floor whilst the stunning lounge is on the first floor, taking advantage of views over the Pennines.
There is a sheltered BBQ area on our field, giving guests uninterrupted views over fields to the Pennine hills and a large play area for the children to run around safely. Our properties are well suited to pets, with many walks from the doorstep and stone floors for the muddy paws by the entrance.
The village is at the start of the popular day walk up High Cup Nick, a stunning glaciated valley cut into the Pennines, and is well situated for reaching the Lake District, The Yorkshire Dales, Hadrians wall or even Scotland. This means you can enjoy the peace and quiet but have easy access to some of those busier areas if you wish.
Outside there is parking for 2 cars and garden furniture to relax and enjoy the view.
Midtown Barn is separate from but next to our other properties, The Dairy sleeping 10 (ref. 215141) and Midtown Farmhouse sleeping 8 (215270).
