Wayfarers is a spacious and comfortable bungalow situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac on the aptly named Sunny Corner lane in Sennen, a small coastal village at the very end of the country.
Sennen has two wonderful surfing beaches of golden sand which are lifeguarded during the day throughout the summer season and are ideal for family holidays. Sennen Cove has a pretty fishing harbour and an important Lifeboat Station being situated near the treacherous waters off Land's End and only about 30 miles from the Isles of Scilly. There is a 13th Century Church and some shops, cafes and pubs including the First & Last Inn and the Old Success Inn.
Wayfarers is ideally placed on this narrow peninsula to be able to take advantage of the scenic beauty of both the north and south coasts of West Cornwall as they are within easy reach from the property. Tennis, golf, fishing,sea angling, pitch & put, sailing, surfing, windsurfing, bowling and spectacular coastal walks are all available within a nine mile radius.
St Just, a small rural town on the north coast is approximately 4 miles away is steeped in mining history. Geevor Tin Mine which is a World Heritage Centre was the last working mine in this area and is now a very interesting museum. All around the north coast are vestiges of mining history including many old engine houses and stacks, graphic reminders of Cornwall's rich industrial past. St Just itself also has some shops and several pubs and places to eat.
The famous Minack open-air theatre is very close to Sennen, also Porthcurno and the Cable Station Museum which gives a fascinating glimpse into early world wide telecommunications. The town of Penzance is only about 8 miles away on the south coast where you will find plenty of shops and places to eat together with all manner of leisure activities including the local ferry service and helicopter link to the sub tropical paradise of the Isles of Scilly. Coastal villages such as Mousehole, Lamorna and Marazion are situated around Mount's Bay and picturesque St Michael's Mount can be reached at low tide by walking across the connecting causeway or when the tide is in by small ferry boats.
On entering the light and spacious hallway at Wayfarers there is a lovely lounge/dining room with comfortable 3 piece suite and TV on your right. The fully fitted kitchen is well equipped and there are two bedrooms, one double and one twin room with a separate bathroom with shower over the bath.
There is a garage and parking area and up the steps to the bungalow there is a patio and paved area with a lovely garden - all you could wish for, for a lovely holiday.
