BUTTERFIELD COTTAGE is a pretty double fronted 18th century stone cottage set on the edge of Tideswell, just five minutes walk from the centre. It has character,beams, rural views and backs on to fields and open spaces. It sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms, two are double and one is twin. the twin room has an ensuite shower room.
The cottage has just been fully refurbished and is looking lovley. the sitting room has a logburner set into a derbyshire fireplace, comfy sofas and an armchair. the Widescreen TV is free sat and there is a CD/DVD player, books, games and toys to help you feel at home.
The kitchen is well equipped with all the crockery, cutlery and glassware you will need for your stay, there is a neff hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge with ice box, washing machine, microwave, ironing equipment and coffee maker.
To the rear is a raised patio area with garden bench and BBQ and to the front is a patio area with table and chairs, and lawn with borders. The gardens are hedge/ walled and gated and a doored walkway leads through from the front to the rear of the cottage, this is suitable for storing bikes. The garden is suitable for children and dogs.
The cottage is well located for exploring the abundance of peak district attractions and for walking. with many lovely walks from the door. Buxton, Bakewell and Chatsworth House are within 10min drive and Alton Towers is an hour. .The Cottage is well equipped and beautifully furnished with everything you need for your stay. It can be booked together with Bluebell cottage , also in Tideswell which sleeps 8 to cater for larger groups. the cottages are a five minute walk apart.
TIDESWELL is a quaint and bustling Peakland village whose Church is known as the Cathedral of the Peak. Tideswell regularly wins the Derbyshire Best Kept Village Award and the Britain in Bloom Village Award and is a Conservation Village which lies in the heart of the Peak District National Park. It has a fine range of 'local shops', pubs and tearooms, which specialise in fresh local produce.
