Tideswell is a quaint and bustling Peakland village whose Church is known as the Cathedral of the Peak. Tideswell regularly wins the Derbyshire Best Kept Village Award and the Britain in Bloom Village Award and is a Conservation Village which lies in the heart of the Peak District National Park. It has a fine range of 'local shops', pubs and tearooms, which specialise in fresh local produce and is well placed for exploring the delights of the Peak District with many lovely walks from the door.Buxton, Bakewell and Chatsworth House are within 10min drive.The Cottage is well equipped and beautifully furnished with everything you need for your stay. Short breaks available. it can be booked together with Butterfield Cottage (just a few mins walk away) to accommodate larger groups.
Bluebell Cottage nestles in a quiet side street just off the center of the village and close to all village facilities. it is a pretty 17th Century stone cottage, formerly a Village Inn and has been fully refurbished to a high standard, many original features and beams have been retained. Sleeps 8+1 on a sofa bed
There are 3 bedrooms. The family room has en-suite shower room/WC and hand basin, with a double bed in the main area, and steep steps leading to a galleried sleeping area in the eves with a second double bed. The second bedroom has a double bed and the third bedroom has twin beds.
The bathroom has bath with shower over, WC, hand basin and lit mirror with shaver point.
The beamed sitting room has a log burner set into a derbyshire fireplace, it offers plenty of seating including a sofa bed which sleeps an extra person. there is a library of books and games to make you feel at home and a TV, CD/DVD player . The dining area has an oak table and chairs to seat ten
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the crockery, cutlery and glassware you need for your stay. There is a dishwasher, neff double oven and hob, microwave, coffee maker, washer/dryer, ironing equipment and fridge with ice box.
The shady walled and gated garden has a wildlife pond, BBQ and patio furniture.The large shed is suitable for storing bikes. it is secure for dogs.
pets are welcome - cover charge £25 each payable direct to owner
A Good Housekeeping bond of £40 is repayable when the cottage is left clean and tidy as found.
