| This charming, stone, period cottage is set in the beautiful village of Willersey, which has just won the “Cotswold Life” Village of the Year Award 2005. Built c1850, the accommodation retains much of the charm and character of the original building, which has been modernized to provide complete comfort and convenience
It is set behind a pretty front garden with mature trees and shrubs overlooking the attractive village green and duck pond. Mallards and their offspring can be seen waddling around the footpaths and settling in villagers’ gardens – a lovely sight! Within a short stroll there are two local inns serving excellent food, a post office and a general store serving most needs.
The cottage is within yards of open countryside and ideally placed to visit the surrounding Cotswold villages of Broadway (just over a mile), Chipping Camden, Stow on the Wold, and Stratford upon Avon (with Royal Shakespeare Company) is approximately 10 miles away. Artists, ramblers and cyclists will find plenty to see. |
