Two minutes walk to public house, three minutes walk to the bridge over river Ellen which has a run of Salmon and sea trout. Ideal for exploring the Northern Lake District. The lakeland town of Keswick surrounded by mountains & lakes is just 30 minutes drive.
The market town of Cockermouth is just 20 mintues drive. The Solway coast at Allonby is just 20 minutes. The beach from Allonby to Silloth have long stretches of sand and are ideal for families.
