Bradford Dale is a delightful and quiet wooded dale. The river has been dammed into ponds to supply the now long-vanished corn mills which stood there. One of the most dramatic survivals from the New Stone Age, Arbor Low is a henge with a diameter of 160 ft. The massive stones probably once stood upright and the hilltop position gives wonderful views over the White Peak and beyond.
